The Doctor Behind Artavi Med Spa
Dr. Tarina Desai is more than the Owner, Medical Director, and Chief Injector of Artavi Med Spa—she’s a Board-Certified Physician, a wife, a mother, and a small business owner who brings passion and expertise to the world of aesthetics. After nearly seven years of practicing medicine, her love for skincare and beauty led her to create Artavi Med Spa in the Heights Mercantile, Houston, TX, combining her medical expertise with her lifelong enthusiasm for aesthetics.
Dr. Desai has trained extensively in aesthetic medicine, studying under some of the most renowned experts in the field. With a long list of certifications and advanced training, including masterclasses by Allergan and international conferences like IMCAS in Paris, she specializes in achieving natural, radiant results through advanced techniques in Botox, dermal fillers, and skin rejuvenation. Beyond her dedication to her craft, she’s committed to continuous learning, ensuring her patients receive the best care possible.
At Artavi, Dr. Desai’s mission is clear—to enhance confidence and deliver outstanding outcomes while making every patient feel valued. When she’s not in the spa, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two young children, and their dog Coco.
Fun Fact: The name “Artavi” is inspired by her family, combining letters from her children’s, husband’s, and her own name.

Our Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner
We’re excited to introduce Heather Taylor, NP! With 12 years of experience in women's health, pediatrics, and neonatal ICU, plus 2 years in plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine, Heather brings a wealth of expertise to her aesthetic practice. As a native Houstonian and honors graduate, she blends her passion for art and beauty to deliver safe, natural results that boost patient confidence.
